Hazardous Materials Collection Sites

Programs that sponsor sites where people can bring household cleaners, automobile products (e.g., antifreeze, brake fluid, gasoline, motor oil), pesticides, herbicides, paint products, outdated medicines and other hazardous materials typically found in the household for disposal. Hazardous materials are those that are labelled "corrosive", "flammable", "irritant", "toxic" or "poison" or which react when combined with other substances.

Medical Waste Disposal

Programs that are responsible for permanently and safely disposing of medical syringes, linens, dressings, excised tissue and other waste materials generated in the diagnosis, treatment or immunization of human beings or animals; in medical or veterinary research; or in the production or testing of vaccines, cultures and other preparations made from living organisms and their products.
