Description:
Youth Empowerment Centers function as a mechanism to prevent youth violence, empower the youth, promote education, promote health, promote leadership and community involvement through the implementation of activities and services to youth ages 13-18.
Programming includes pro-social after-school activities, tutoring, mentoring, job training for in-school and out of school youth, information on resources, gang prevention outreach, parenting classes, employment services, safe schools programs, transportation and employment when applicable.
