Description
Provides Dementia specific counseling and coaching services focused on helping the caregiver cope with the myriad of issues faced in caring for someone with an Alzheimer's/dementia diagnosis. Common concerns addressed include: behavioral issues, managing symptoms, grief and loss; adjustments to diagnosis; long term planning; family dynamics; coping with guilt; stress management; problems with communication; finding balance; personality changes; intimacy.

Topics include: sundowning; repetitiveness; hallucinations; delusions; wandering; safety; nutrition; medication; bathing; inappropriate behaviors; taking away the keys; combativeness; anger and aggression; caring for the bed bound patient; and traveling.
