Family Safety & Preservation Services
Description
Provides programs to maintain children in their home settings and prevent out of home placements by providing in home family therapy. Functional family therapy child welfare (FFT) is an evidence based and highly successful family intervention program for children and their families involved in child welfare settings from a variety of multi-ethnic, multi-cultural backgrounds. A major goal of FFT is to improve family communication, parenting skills, promote empowerment and self sufficiency along with ensuring that families are surrounded with and connected to community supports.

Monday-Friday / 8:30 am-5 pm
Eligibility
Ages 10-17. Families must have an open case with DCF, children must be residing with their caregivers, all family members agree to participate in treatment, family therapy.

Therapeutic Foster Home Program
Description
Provides placement into a licensed therapeutic foster home with professionally trained parents. Services include a comprehensive assessment, behavioral monitoring, treatment planning, individual and family therapeutic interventions, facilitation of long-term placement in a permanent setting including reunification with biological family. Will provide parent skills training to biological or adoptive family, pharmacological management by a board certified psychiatrist.

Eligibility
Ages 3-17. Client cannot be actively: psychotic; suicidal; homicidal or only diagnosed with polysubstance abuse.

Must be pre-approved via Department of Children and Families, and Medicaid.
