Providing disability support services such as benefit application assistance, independent living skills training, peer support, and advocacy services. Advocates teach self-advocacy skills and how to navigate systems and acquire the accommodations people with disabilities need. Advocates attend I.E.P or 504 plan meetings for students with disabilities. Assist individuals to file fair housing complaints and discrimination complaints under Americans With Disabilities Act. Also address crime victims who have a disability or who have developed a disability due to crime victimization.
