Community-based, civil rights organization for individuals with disabilities which is dedicated to promoting independence and expanding opportunities in the community. The agency provides a focal point to which all persons, agencies, and support groups can turn for such services as adaptive equipment, outreach, ADA consulting, advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling, support groups and independent living skills training, homeless assistance and crime victim support. Advocacy provided in areas including education, employment, fair housing, transportation, recreation, adaptive equipment and benefit entitlement.
