Description
Advocacy to assist crime victims and witnesses through the criminal justice system by providing accompaniment to police interviews, State Attorney's meetings, or court. Provides support groups and/or peer counseling, information on police and court proceedings, crime victim counseling, advocacy for accessibility needs. Assistance with obtaining restraining orders. Referral assistance to appropriate community resources or social services to meet needs. Assistance with filing for compensation under the Florida Victim Compensation Act.
