Description
Provides nutrition education and supplemental foods for low and moderate income pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women; infants; and children under age 5 with health problems which can be helped by an improved diet. Milk, cereals, fruits, vegetables, baby food, whole grains, cheese, eggs, peanut butter, beans, fruit juice and fortified infant formula are listed on checks provided to clients. Checks can be redeemed for food in participating grocery stores. In addition provides breastfeeding information, breast pump loan program, counseling and technical support. Also provides referrals to health care, immunizations and community services. Lactation consulting and education in English and Spanish provided by Socorro Caanen, IBCLC, CCE at (561) 357-6019 Monday-Friday / 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

Monday-Friday / 7:30 am-5 pm: 4th Saturday / 8 am-12 pm; WIC services closes the 1st Thursday of month at 12pm.

Pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women; infants; and children under age 5 with nutrition-related health problems. Family's gross income must not exceed 185% of the U.S. Poverty Income Guidelines.
