Florida Outreach Center for the Blind, Inc. is a nonprofit organization/training facility where
all of our programs are FREE to the blind and visually impaired. Classes/training are
available in English, Spanish, Creole and French. Through the skills learned at the center,
individuals become more independent, enjoy a better quality of life, and are able to utilize
community resources, pursue an education, and choose a career path. A few of the things
we offer:

!¢ Classes to learn computers, cell phones, apps and assisted technology
!¢ Independent & daily living skills, including cooking/using appliances
!¢ Mobility training
!¢ Low vision, optical, & non-optical devices training
!¢ Virtual & in-person workshops

!¢ A reading library with audible books
!¢ Peer support & advisory support groups
!¢ Arts & crafts classes
!¢ Leisure time activities & field trips
!¢ Kids! Club for blind children & their families
!¢ Serving as a liaison between clients/students & other agencies

Provides classes in Braille, assistive technology, iPhone, iPad, Daily Living Skills, Cooking, Mobility, Peer Support, Vision/Hearing Advisory Support Group, Leisure time activities, Outreach Programs for seniors and a Kids Club for blind children and their families. There is also an on site store with visual aids for hands-on inspection and purchase and an Equipment Loan Program that enables clients to have adaptive technology that they otherwise could not afford. All of the center's classes are free and offered in English, Spanish, French, and Creole.
