Description:
Provides regional health planning and implementation in a five-county area. Developing health plans containing data, analysis, and recommendations that relate to health care status and needs in the community that is designed to improve access to health care, reduce disparities in health status, assist state and local governments in the development of sound and rational health care policies, and advocate on behalf of the underserved. Study the impact of various initiatives on the health care system, provide their communities understanding of health care issues. Fiscally administers the medical care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS through the Ryan White program in Palm Beach County. Other activities: Hospital and Nursing Home Utilization Data Reporting, Hospital Inpatient, ER Department, and Ambulatory & Rehabilitation Service Data, Certificate of Need, other projects: PBC Counts, Navigate PBC, Florida KidCare Regional Navigator Project, and Fetal Infant Mortality Review.

Florida KidCare Program
Description
Provides Florida KidCare Program the state's Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP). Offering affordable, quality health and dental insurance for uninsured children from birth through the end of age 18. Helps with application assistance, education, and outreach services.

Eligibility
Eligibility is based on household size, income and age of the child. Florida resident. Uninsured children under age 19 and US citizen or lawfully residing immigrant.
Fees
Fees vary depending on the household size, income, and age of the child. Between ages 1-4 with household income 133-200% (FPL) pays $15-$20 monthly; over 200% (FPL) pay $157 month; ages 0-18 with income 0-133% (FPL) get Medicaid; over 200% (FPL) pay $215 without dental and $230 with dental.

Community Health advocates Mobile Program
Description
Provides mobile Community Health Advocates that will meet clients at a variety of locations throughout Palm Beach county. Advocates work with individuals living with HIV, or those at high risk of contracting HIV, to link to care and treatment. This includes navigating the local healthcare system for primary HIV care, and specialty medical care.

Palm Beach County HIV Care Council-Planning/Coordinating/Advisory Groups
Description
Provides professional services to support members of the PBC HIV Care Council so members can establish priorities, set percentage of expenditures for services funded by the Ryan White Care Act, and Florida General Revenue funds for Palm Beach County. Assists members in learning how to work in a group process utilizing Robert rules of Order, PBC Ethics Rules as well as Florida Sunshine Laws to obtain fair, objective decisions. Assists members through training, support services such as committee staffing, and other activities to complete federally mandated tasks.
