Description:

Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County is a nonprofit organization improving birth outcomes through the compassionate and equitable delivery of early prenatal care, education, and support for all pregnant women across our communities.
HMHB is the sole licensed provider of CenteringPregnancy® in Palm Beach County. Centering provides a personal atmosphere for learning and sharing that is impossible to create in a one-to-one setting. Eight to twelve pregnant women with similar gestational ages meet for their prenatal care medical appointment and learn care skills, participate in a facilitated discussion on prenatal care topics and childbirth, and develop a support network with other group members. Each pregnancy group meets for a total of 10 sessions throughout pregnancy and early postpartum.

Studies show that Centering moms have healthier babies, are actively engaged in their own healthcare, and are better prepared for labor and delivery. Participants are eligible for benefits including financial aid for childcare, healthy snacks during appointments, transportation assistance to prenatal care, and referrals to other services for your family.

HMHB is the Prenatal Entry Agency for the Children!€™s Services Council of Palm Beach County's Healthy Beginnings system of care.
