Description

Provides apartments that are financed and managed under the USDA Rural Development Housing Program. Rental assistance may be available to qualified applicants. 38 One Bedroom/one bath garden apartments 78 Two Bedroom/one bath garden apartments 7 Accessible units for handicapped or disabled. Resident programs include classes in computer literacy, health, nutrition and financial counseling.

Eligibility

- Annual adjusted income cannot exceed the USDA Rural Development limit. - Annual household income cannot exceed Low Income Housing Tax Credit limits. - Rental payment cannot exceed 42% of income, adjusted for rental assistance when applicable. - Must have gross annual income of current requirement. - Must demonstrate that there was a regular source of income for at least the previous three months. - Must demonstrate stable financial resources that provide ability to meet financial obligations. - Acceptable landlord histories with no evictions for non-payment of rent or for disturbances. -Evictions for non payment of rent more than 5 years old will be excluded.

Fees

Call for current rates. $22 background check fee per adult applicant. Security deposit is equal to one month's basic rent.

Intake Procedure

No pets allowed except approved service animals for the disabled. One year rental agreement required.
