Description:
The Tax Collector is a constitutional officer elected by the county's residents. The responsibilities of the Tax Collector are: Collection and distribution of Real Estate and Tangible Personal Property taxes (both ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments) levied by the County, the school board, any special taxing districts within the County, and all municipalities within the County, as an agent for Florida Department of Revenue (DOR). Motorist services including issuance/renewal of motor vehicle license plates, vehicle/vessel/mobile home registrations & title transactions, parking placards, and driver license services, as an agent for the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles (DHSMV). Issuance of Hunting and Fishing licenses as an agent for Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC). Issuance/renewal of the Local Business Tax receipts within the unincorporated portions of the County. The Tax Collector's Office offers Florida Birth Certificate printing services as an agent for the Florida Department of Health, as well as Concealed Weapons License Applications as and agent for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Applicant must have been born in the State of Florida after 1930. Applicant must be the child named in the record and over 18 years old or the parent named on record if under 18 years old.
Fees
$18.25 for initial certified record and $10 for each additional copy.
