The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller supports all of Palm Beach County's criminal and civil courts by processing, recording and filing documents such as traffic tickets, lawsuits, divorce agreements, wills, child support agreements, domestic violence petitions, and tenant evictions.
The public may sue for damages/amounts under the sum of $15,000.00. No attorney is needed for amount under $5,000.00. Questions to answer before contacting agency: 1. Have I tried all possible means to reach a settlement? 2. Do I have the necessary evidence? 3. Do I know the correct legal name and address of the defendant?

Claims less than $100: $55.00
Claims of $100, but not more than $500: $80.00
Claims of $500, but not more than $2,500: $175.00
Claims of $2,500.01 $300.00
