Description:
Comprised of neighborhoods that have decided to ensure safety within their community by forming a partnership with the PBSO. Volunteers wear uniforms and drive specifically marked vehicles that display to potential criminals that they are the extra eyes and ears of law enforcement. Each COP car is equipped with a cellular phone and police radio to assist COP volunteers in alerting deputies of problems noticed while patrolling. Each volunteer receives training, uniform and guidance from the PBSO to ensure that the program succeeds in helping prevent crime in their neighborhood.
