Provides a 75-bed private psychiatric and substance abuse hospital dedicated to treating adults, senior citizens, and families in acute crisis due to emotional, functional or addiction problems. All treatment is provided by licensed physicians and mental health practitioners, in a secure, safe, and structured environment. Port St Lucie Hospital is a Baker Act Receiving Facility. Services Offered: Information and Referral Services: Callers receive information on Mental Health issues and referrals to local Mental Health agencies, support and advocacy groups, and Outpatient practitioners. Crisis Care Services: Adults and Senior Citizens who require immediate assistance due to a new or emergent psychiatric, cognitive or emotional problem are admitted to our Intensive treatment services for evaluation. Adult Stabilization Services: Longer Term psychiatric treatment and stabilization for individuals with more serious, disabling and chronic mental health problems is provided in the Adult Stabilization Program. Senior Adult Unit: Psychiatric treatment and stabilization is also provided for senior citizens suffering a decline in emotional, cognitive and functional skills due to aging, and the effects of stroke and other medical problems. Dual Diagnosis Services: Hospital Level Detoxification and Chemical Dependency treatment is provided for individuals suffering from abuse of or dependency on alcohol and/or prescription and/or illegal drugs is provided in the Chemical Dependency Program. Co-Occurring Disorders Services: Hospital Level Detoxification and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment is provided for individuals suffering from a Psychiatric disorder with an alcohol and/or substance abuse problem.
