Description:
Serves individuals affected by Sickle Cell Disease/Trait, and related disorders, and members of their families by providing outreach, education, screening, single-gene genetic counseling, comprehensive case management services, health/human services referrals including medical providers, support group activities, socialization/normalization activities, and basic life skill counseling. Community Voice is a Children's Services Council Healthy Beginnings system programs that are also implemented by the Foundation.

Description
Provides services to persons with sickle cell disease or trait and members of their families, including monthly support group meetings and activities for clients. Outreach, education, screening, single-gene genetic counseling, and comprehensive case management services are available. Education for the public, group presentations, community awareness, and in-service education are also offered. Seminars with continuing education credits are offered on an annual basis for medical and healthcare providers. Some Sickle Cell literature is available in Creole and Spanish.

Community Voice
Description
Provides training to community residents (10 contact hours) to share information about benefits of healthy pregnancies and infant care to motivate the community to lead healthy lifestyles and produce healthy birth outcomes. To reduce black infant mortaility rate. Each participant receives $100 gift card, and certificate of achievement.
