Description:
Provides services to adults and children with developmental disabilities. Residential services in community residential homes are provided to adults and children. Respite services are provided to both adults and children in family homes. Supported living services to adults are provided in the individual's home or apartment. Both center based and community based day services are provided to persons aged 22 and older. The agency has an after school program and a summer camp program for young people from 6-22 years of age. Supported employment services are provided to persons with disabilities in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach Counties.

Description
The ABLE After-School program provides intensive educational and behavioral intervention for children between the ages of 6 and 21 years old. Curriculums for students are targeted to enhance the student's skills in a variety of community and classroom experiences by applying principles of behavior modification. Unlike typical schools that shy away from risky activities, students engage in weekly activities such as dance, sailing,swimming coupled with educational skill development in peer socialization, computer technology and sensory stimulation. This program is based at the ARC with transportation provided to the recreational activities in the community.

The life Skills Training program offers continuing education for adults with disabilities both within a specially designed work fulfillment/training center, as well as throughout the community. The ABLE Summer Camp offers socialization, recreation, education, music and arts activities in a fun structured setting. Activity stations are developed with a different theme each summer that allow campers experience a variety of educational experiences while counselors apply behavior modification strategies to enhance desirable skills. An extension of the ABLE after-school program, ABLE summer camp engages campers In fun activities throughout the community that enhance the camper's awareness, emotional, social and overall health.

Description
The Supported Employment program provided through the ARC's Advanced Employment Services (AES) assists individuals with disabilities referred by the Agency for Vocational Rehabilitation in acquiring and retaining long-term competitive employment opportunities that are consistent with the individual's employment goals. Individuals are evaluated through a situational assessment and then coached by AES job Coaches through the application, interview and eventually the actual job training process.
