Description:
The Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council, is a non-profit strategic planning council for Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin counties which addresses the long and shorter range needs of homeless individuals and families and works to prevent homelessness on the Treasure Coast. The Council maintains a legally constituted Continuum of Care that works collaboratively with at least 80 other agencies and programs on the Treasure Coast to plan for and seek funding for services which prevent and alleviate homelessness. The Council works to secure state and federal funding and other resources for health and human services agencies in the county who provide services to homeless, near homeless and indigent individuals and families.

Supportive Service for Veteran Families
Description
Provides assistance to very low-income households and Veteran families who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. The program employs a housing first model, an approach which centers on providing homeless Veterans with permanent housing quickly and then providing VA health care, benefits and services as needed.

Eligibility
For Veterans and their families who meet eligibility criteria only. Must be a veteran able to qualify for VA Healthcare; homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness; annual income 50% Area media income.

Description
The Resource Center provides client intake and assessment, emergency financial assistance and appropriate referrals to provider agencies in the tri-county area. The Resource Center focuses on securing state and federal entitlements, for eligible clients and on housing and re-housing families with children.
