Description:
United Community Options serves more than 1,500 infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities at over 60 locations in Broward, Palm Beach and Mid-Coast Counties.
In addition to cerebral palsy, adults and children with other developmental disabilities and conditions such as Down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, pre maturity, hearing and speech delay are enrolled in programs at UCO of South Florida.
UCO programs and services are designed to meet the special needs of each individual and family served, with a common goal: to enable people with disabilities to reach their greatest potential, and achieve rewarding and productive lives as fully participating members of their communities.

In-Home Respite Care
Description
The care of a child with a developmental disability can be a 24 hour a day commitment. UCO provides specially trained respite workers to give family members needed time-off, allowing them to shop, go to the doctor, or spend time with other children, a spouse, friends or other family members. Behavior focus respite is also available.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday / 8 am-4:30 pm; Every day / 24 hours.

Ages birth to 22 years old, with developmental disabilities.

Specialized Afterschool Care Program
Description
UCO's After School programs give parents the security of having their children in a safe ,enriching, educational and fun environment from the end of school day until they return home. Professional staff respond to each childs individual needs. Music therapy along with a variety of recreational and educational activities are provided. UCO's After School program is funded through the United Way.

School in session: Monday-Friday / 2-5:30 pm; ESY Summer - 5 weeks Monday-Thursday / 1-5:30 pm

Residential Services
Description
UCO of PB has 7 group homes for adults and 1 group homes for children located in Boca Raton, Lantana, Delray Beach and Lake Worth, offering a family-like environment support provided by specially trained staff. The residents enjoy a comfortable environment, which encourages them to pursue their personal goals and dreams at home and in their community. UCO's group homes specialize in providing support to those in need of behavioral support.

Adult Day Training
Description
Provides vocational training and daily life skill training for adults, 18 years or older, with developmental disabilities. Program includes training in the areas of education, daily living skills, vocational/employment skills, community inclusion, leisure activities and music therapy. Weekly community inclusion outings are planned to meet the interest of each participant. UCOS Adult Day Training program serves all individuals with developmental disabilities, especially those individuals with challenging behaviors.
