A program developed by doctors of optometry who are members of the American Optometric Association. It is open to children and adults of all ages who qualify. If eligible, they will be matched with a volunteer doctor of optometry who will provide a comprehensive eye exam at no charge. The doctors are donating their services and may be limited in some areas. Eyewear may also be provided at no cost or for a small fee/donaton in some states. VISION USA program is no longer providing direct eye and vision care assignments. Please utilize the website to locate local programs in your state.

1.Must be a US citizen or legal resident with a social security or legal resident number 2.Have no vision insurance or Medicare / Medicaid eye care coverage (varies by state) 3.Have not had an eye exam within the past 24 months 4.Have an income below established guidelines based on household size 5.Have not received a doctor referral through the VISION USA program in the past two years
