Provides housing for low-income families. Coordinates with programs and agencies that will assist the Authority's clients in becoming financially self-sufficient.
The Authority owns and operates 732 public housing units located in five separate developments. It also administers Section 8 vouchers for the federal government. Public housing units and Section 8 vouchers are available to low-income families, including the elderly, disabled and handicapped. To be eligible applicants are placed on the Authority's Section 8 or Public Housing waiting list. The waiting list for Section 8 and Public Housing is currently closed.

Project-Based Voucher
Description
Provides housing for low-income seniors. Coordinates with programs and agencies that will assist the Authority's clients in becoming financially self-sufficient. Priority applicants will be those who have been working 12 months, those who are 62 and older, and those with special needs. All are welcome to apply but the former will be weighted. Immigrants are welcome, but must have documentation that they are in a legal status or pending. The Authority owns and operates 732 public housing units located in five separate developments. It also administers Section 8 vouchers for the federal government. Public housing units and Section 8 vouchers are available to low-income families, including the elderly, disabled and handicapped. To be eligible applicants are placed on the Authority's Section 8 or Public Housing waiting list.

Head of Household is 62 years of age and older. Income must not exceed HUD approved limits.

Applicants may only submit one application per family. Head of household must be US Veteran 62 years of age or older.
