Youth Emotional Healing Through Horses
Description
Provides weekly Equine therapy group meetings for 6 sessions to help youth struggling with anxiety, depression, body image issues, bullying and thoughts of suicide. Groups follow the evidence based EAGALA model and are co-facilitated by a mental health professional and and an equine specialist.

6-Week Program held on Thursdays 5:30 pm-6:30 pm

Eligibility
Ages 11-18 struggling with anxiety, depression, thoughts of suicide, trauma, gender/sexuality, bullying, body image/eating disorder.

The EAGALA program is an unmounted (no riding) program where the horses are part of the treatment team. The serves as a metaphor and clients who are blocked find equine therapy effective. Specialize in treating adults in recovery, but the model can be used for many populations, and team building with corporations. Operates through sponsor barns that are located near Wellington, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.

Eligibility
Ability to pay, must sign a liability waiver and wear close-toed shoes.
Fees
$50-$75 per person, 45 min. session, 5 person group minimum.
