Youth Guidance provides one-on-one and group mentoring programs that teach vocational and life skills to children with limited resources in Indian River County. Children participate in various programs that include vocational training, life skills, and STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts and math). Children also receive a healthy dinner every night. All programs and meals are provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of the local community.
Once a child has spent eight weeks (one semester) in a group setting, he or she is eligible to be paired with a one-on-one mentor. This provides the opportunity for a deeper and even more meaningful connection with an adult role-model.
