Provides a coordinating point for the effective management of catastrophic events in and around St. Lucie County through coordination and collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies. All response and recovery resource requests to the State EOC are coordinated through the EOC. Preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation goals against all natural, technological, and human-caused threats are implemented through processes of planning, training, exercising, and conducting after action report/ improvement plans in adherence to FEMA and State guidelines.
Hours:
Monday-Friday / 8 am-5 pm. During Local State of Emergencies, the EOC operates at different hours.

Pet Registration
Description
The Animal Safety Services and Protection Division provides information to residents unfamiliar with the county animal ordinances. St. Lucie County requires all dogs and cats 4 months of age and older to obtain a pet registration for unincorporated areas of the county.
Availability
Animal rescue and issues can be handled by calling 911.

St. Lucie County Animal Licensing The costs are: Unaltered Pet License: $75 annual fee - License expires when the rabies vaccination expires 1st Spayed/Neutered Pet License: $10 annual fee -Animals must be spayed/neutered (proof required) 2nd Spayed/Neutered Pet License: $8 annual fee - Animals must be spayed/neutered (proof required) 3rd Spayed/Neutered Pet License: $6 annual fee - Discount for 2nd registered animal to an owner. Exempt Status License: N/A - Discount for 3rd registered animal to an owner 1st Spayed/Neutered Lifetime Pet License: $25 fee - Discount for 3rd registered animal. 2nd Spayed/Neutered Lifetime Pet License: $20 fee - Discount for 2nd registered animal to an owner. 1st Spayed/Neutered Lifetime Pet License: $15 fee - Discount for 3rd registered animal to an owner. Replacement License: $5 fee - Regardless of the license type.

Special Needs Sheltering - Must sign up in new system even if they are already registered in old system.
Description
The Division of Emergency Management and several County Departments in conjunction with the Florida Department of Health at St. Lucie County operate a Special Needs Shelter for individuals who seek shelter from a disaster and need medical assistance. Those who have a medical condition that does not meet requirement for hospital admittance but needs medical assistance can be eligible for the Special Needs Shelter.
