Description:
Provides a broad range of mental and drug abuse services in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie counties. Agency services are available to all residents and visitors in its service area. The principal criterion for receiving a service is need. Services are provided to individuals who voluntarily request them, and the agency also operates in accordance with Florida's alcohol, drug abuse, and mental health laws to provide evaluation and treatment on an involuntary basis. Client fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on income and family size. Accepted methods of payment include most insurance, Medicaid and Medicare.

Children's Outpatient Services
Description
Includes comprehensive evaluations and treatment options. Based upon and evaluation and diagnosis, treatment may consist of individual, family counseling, case management, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Provides support to the child and their family. The team helps to link families to community resources and advocates for the family as needed. Case managers serve as coordinators to the children and their families who are in need of multi-agency services. They provide services in the home, school and the community. Also provides Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site Services (TBOS) designed as an intensive intervention for children with behavioral and mental health problems. Focus of treatment will include input from parents, teachers/school officials and other agencies. Program also provides other services such as solution solving skills, anger management skills, parental empowerment. Services are design to maximize client and family strengths to reduce behavior problems and increase positive behaviors.

Student Assistance Program
Description
A substance abuse prevention program designed to promote bonding to family, school, non-drug using peers and the community for children in grades K-12. Services are school base. Students receive education elated to drug use and counselors work with the students to improve communication skills, enhance problem solving skills, and to develop positive coping kills. Counselors work with school staff and the students in working to decrease risk factors associated with drug use and increase their protective factors. Services are available in specified schools.
