750 acres of coastal habitat on Singer Island that includes beach, offshore reef, estuary and hardwood hammock communities. A 1600 food boardwalk spans the estuary from the William T. Kirby Nature Center to the beach, and nature trails access the hardwood hammock. Recreational uses include fishing, hiking, birding, shelling, snorkeling and picnicking. The park offers daily nature walks, guided kayak tours, seasonal sea turtle walks, reef snorkel tours, a summer environmental day camp and environmental education programs for school groups. Guest speakers are often featured at special meetings and events. The park also hosts an annual Earth Day celebration and organizes beach cleanups.
