The Recreation Department offers a wide variety of leisure activities for children, teens and adults with special needs. All of the programs offer age-appropriate activities and instruction, which include drama and music, a variety of sports, field trips and other engaging activities.
Adventures Day Camps, provides great social opportunities and a wide variety of activities, community outings, learning activities, sports and instructional classes for youth ages 5 to 16 who require a 1:3 staff to student ratio. The Teen Summer Day Camp provides great social opportunities for teens aged 14 to 21 through themed activities, sports, community outings, learning activities and instructional classes for young adults who would benefit from a 1:6 ratio.
The Arc's evening social club for adults aged 18 and older can join in on scheduled Friday evenings and some Saturdays. This program offers a wide variety of fun, themed activities and community outings. Participants must be completely independent in the restroom and able to eat independently, transition with the group and safely and actively participate with a 1:15 at all times.
The Adult Leisure Program offers self advocacy and life skills training, community inclusion and social opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities 18 and over. Activities include sports, crafts, food preparation and light cooking, learning activities and community outings.

Description
Provides recreation and leisure programs for children and adults with special needs. Children's camp programs are offered for ages six through 16 in self-contained and or inclusion settings. Camp programs, located throughout Palm Beach County, are offered for those who qualify during winter, spring and summer breaks. Teen programs are offered to those aged 16 through high school and for those who qualify during summer breaks, as well as one Friday evening per month. Adult programs are offered three times per week, as well as two Friday evenings per month. Participants must call for program details and to register.
