Description
Provides nutrition education and supplemental foods for WIC eligible, pregnant and breast-feeding women, infants, and children under age 5. Milk, cereals, fruit, vegetables, baby food, whole grains, fruit juice, cheese, eggs, and fortified infant formula are listed on checks provided to clients. Checks can be redeemed for food in participating grocery stores. Also provides breast feeding support, includes electric breast pump loan, and manual breast pumps. Lactation consulting and education, in English and Spanish, provided by Michelle Hoff, IBCLC at 772-873-4891

Description
The Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie County offers basic primary care for adults of all ages. Services include physicals, management and treatment of chronic disease (eg. diabetes, hypertension, thyroid condition), health education and counseling, referrals for specialty care, treatment of minor acute illness such as colds and flu. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Specialty care is offered to HIV clients with HIV diagnosis and AIDs. We work with case manager's from Project Response and accept clients with Ryan White Funding. Appointments can be made by calling (772) 462-3800.
