Outreach & Legal Advocacy
Description
Provides community referral, crisis intervention, safety planning, Victim of Crime Relocation Assistance (VOCA), Address Confidentiality Program, criminal and civil legal justice advocacy, assistance with injunction for protection, and individual and group counseling for survivors of domestic violence.

Emergency Shelter
Description
6-week, 64-bed emergency shelter for victims of domestic abuse and their children. During their stay in shelter, AVDA provides safety planning, legal advocacy, and comprehensive case management services. Service animals, emotional support animals, and pets welcome.
Hours
Shelter operates 24-hours per day, 7 days per week.

Eligibility
Must be a survivor of domestic violence who is currently in danger, who is fearful of being in danger or who has been in danger of being emotionally, physically or sexually abused and has no safe place to go. Must be willing to abide by program guidelines.

Anne's STEPS (Support, Training, and Education for Personal Success) Economic Empowerment Program
Description
Provides survivors of domestic violence with access to financial literacy programming that includes understanding and repairing credit, understanding lending practices, and budgeting while supporting survivors in securing gainful employment and affordable housing.

Community Education and Professional Training
Description
AVDA is committed to increasing our community's awareness and knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence for healthcare and social service providers, law enforcement, personnel, employers, and other community groups by providing education and training. Presentations and training are tailored to meet the needs of the organization or group. Auxiliary aids or interpreters available upon request at no cost.

Casa Vegso Transitional Housing Progam
Description
AVDA's Transitional Housing provides domestic abuse survivors and their children a place to live for up to two years after Emergency Shelter. This gives survivors time to transition from homelessness to economic independence while receiving encouragement and other services as needed, such as life-skills training and legal advocacy. Staff provide case management, advocacy, community referrals, safety planning, and crisis intervention for domestic abuse victims.

24-hours per day, 7 days per week.

Eligible domestic violence survivors and dependent children who are living in AVDA's emergency shelter program. When available, survivors of domestic violence living in other local domestic violence shelter programs.
