Description:
Long and short term health support services for seniors 60 and older including Department of Elder Affairs certified case management, personal care, homemakers, sitters, companions and adult day health care. Council on Aging operates facilities at 1505 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce and 2501 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie.

Description
Provides assistance in the activities of daily living to enable seniors and disabled adults to remain independent at home, and to live and age with dignity. Services are available on short or long term basis: Adult Day Care; Care Management and In-Home Services.

Adult Day Care
Description
Supervised daytime care of the physically and/or mentally impaired seniors. Transportation, snacks and hot lunches are provided. This program offers respite from the 24 hours a day responsibility of the care giver.

In Home a Respite Care Program
Description
Provides relief to caregivers from the responsibility of providing for a loved one who is functionally or mentally impaired. This program offers the following services: supervision; meal preparation, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, light housekeeping, laundry, dental hygiene, toileting and transfer/ambulation.
