Description:
This is the office within the Department of Children and Families (DCF) that contracts for and monitors state-funded substance abuse and mental health services for indigent residents throughout Palm Beach County. Additionally, the office is responsible for licensing substance abuse treatment facilities in Palm Beach County in accordance with Chapter 397, Florida statute.
Funding is allocated to community-based substance abuse and mental health providers to serve Palm Beach County residents with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Primary target populations include children, adolescents and adults with severe persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse who are in need of crisis, stabilization, treatment and support services.
