Community-based, civil rights organization for individuals with disabilities which is dedicated to promoting independence and expanding opportunities in the community. The agency provides a focal point to which all persons, agencies, and support groups can turn for such services as outreach, ADA consulting, advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling, nursing home transition, support groups and independent living skills training, crime victim assistance, meal delivery and homeless assistance services. Advocacy provided in areas including education, employment, housing, transportation, recreation, adaptive equipment and benefit entitlement. After school and summer programs for youth disabilities ages 14-26.
