Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital is a CARF accredited acute rehabilitation unit at Delray Medical Center specializing in the care for persons who have temporary or permanent disability as a result of an injury, disease, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injury or surgery. The specialized interdisciplinary rehabilitation services for adults and older adults are outcomes-focused with the goal of returning patients back to their home and communities. When admitted care is managed by a Physiatrist who leads the interdisciplinary team. Patients must be able to participate in a minimum of 3 hours of intense therapy a day, at least 5 days a week in order to qualify for admission. Patients have access to 24 hour availability of emergency medical care as part of Delray Medical Center, a level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility supports medical students and has an accredited Physical Therapy Neuro Residency Program.

The Outpatient Therapy Services are located at Delray Medical Center campus and offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy and Psychology Services. The team of therapists specializes in orthopedic as well as neurological injuries. Specialty services include: Balance and Fall Prevention Program, Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation for adults, Wheelchair Seating and Positioning Clinic, Hand Therapy, Therapy for Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders including LSVT BIG and LOUD Programs,Video Swallow Studies and Neuropsychological testing. Neurological injuries are offered the Bioness NESS L300 training for the lower extremity and body weight supported treadmill training.
