Description:

The Supervisor of Elections is a Constitutional Officer elected to serve a four-year term. He/She oversees all governmental elections for the county. This office is also responsible for registering eligible county residents to vote and keep accurate voter rolls.
VOTER REGISTRATION - The St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections offers four locations to serve voters. Voters may update their name, address or political party affiliation by visiting our offices or online at RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov. Florida is a Closed Primary State, which means that a voters political party affiliation determines their Primary Election ballot. Voters must be registered to vote or have their political party updated by book closing, which is 29 day prior to each election. To verify your information, please contact our office or visit our website.
VOTE BY MAIL - Every registered voter is eligible to request a Vote by Mail ballot. One request is required to voting in a selected election or for all elections within an election cycle. Vote by Mail ballots are mailed between 40 and 33 days prior to each election. Vote by Mail ballots must be received by 7 pm on Election Day. For additional information on requesting Vote by Mail ballots or language assistance, please contact our office.
ELECTION INFORMATION - Voters may choose to cast their ballots either during Early Voting or on Election Day. Voters who have not requested a Vote by Mail ballot will be mailed a sample ballot providing dates, times and locations for Early Voting. On Election Day, voters must vote at their assigned precinct location, which can be found by visiting our website or on Voter Identification Cards. Polls are open on Election Day from 7 am-7 pm.
ELECTION RESULTS - Results are issued after 7 pm on Election Day and are periodically updated until all Vote by Mail ballots have been tabulated, Early Votes uploaded and Election Day Precincts report. Results on Election Night are Unofficial. Official Results are certified by the St. Lucie County Canvassing Board approximately 10 day after an Election, which include all Cured Vote by Mail Ballots, UOCAVA (Military and Overseas) ballots and Provisional Ballots. Results are available on our website.
