Description
The Crisis Stabilization Program operates in the UP Center where those in crisis situations can come for the skills, resources, and coaching needed to stabilize their life and work towards a permanent higher ground. Together, crisis management and participants create a customized care plan and determine which services and programs are best suited to help address their immediate needs and work towards their long-term goals. The Education Program is designed to re-energize people's love of life-long learning. UP Staff, volunteers, and partnering agencies teach life skills workshops focusing on adult literacy, parenting, budgeting, nutrition, computer skills, and more, which allow participants to strengthen their skill sets in an area where they are motivated to learn. Participants are also connected with the opportunity to earn their high school diploma, GED preparation, support, and teaching.
