Description:
Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program. It teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.
Provides an 8-hour training course that teaches the people how to help someone who is developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis and/or substance use crisis. Participants learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and addictions. The course can be taught to anyone over the age of 18.
Hours:
Monday-Friday / 9 am -5 pm
