Description
An optional payment plan designed to extend the pay-by-date for customers who depend on Social Security, disability or similar benefits. For customers who qualify, the pay-by-date is adjusted to 31 calendar days.

Ways to Pay Your Bill Automatic Bill Pay - A free service that allows to have your bill amount automatically deducted from your bank account every month on the date you select within qualifying period. Pay Online - Pay your bill immediately. FPL will debit bank account and credit payment to FPL account within minutes. Credit/Debit Card Payment - Partners with Western Union Speedpay to provide an easy way to pay your FPL bill using your credit card. Small fee applies. For more information www.fpl.com/paycard. Pay by Phone - Allows client to check balance due and pay bill with a check from a touch-tone phone and have it posted to account within minutes. CheckFree and Local Bank - Option to pay bill electronically through providers like CheckFree or a local bank. Pay Agents - call 1-800-226-3545 for a listing of our pay agents. Pay Agents may charge a nominal fee. Some agents will discontinue accepting checks. All agents will stop taking money orders and cashier's checks. Locate Pay Agent locations www.fpl.com/payagent. Some businesses offer to send payment to FPL on customer behalf for a fee, without being authorized by FPL. Use of unauthorized payment locations may result in delay of up to 7 business days for payment to post to a customers FPL account. Medical Essential Service Program
Description
This program flags the customer's account to indicate special medical needs at that address. Qualifying medical equipment includes, but is not limited to, oxygen concentrator, and ventilator/respirator. The program does not guarantee uninterrupted service or exempt customer from payment of electric bill. Customers are advised to acquire back-up power supplies and develop a contingency plan should loss of power occur. A medical physician certification is required.

Description
Suspect a scammer? Hang up, call police, call utility provider at phone number on bill. Person calling pretends to be from your utility and threatens to turn off power, water or natural gas service to home and demands immediate payment with a prepaid debit card. Do not pay over the phone if immediate payment with a prepaid debit card is demanded to avoid disconnection.
