Capabilities of Palm Beach (Adult Day Training)

Description

Capabilities is a day training program for adults who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. Gulfstream Goodwill operates the program in West Palm Beach. Participants may attend the program one to five days per week. The program focuses on Life Skills, Employment Skills, Personal Growth, and Health and Wellness.

Monday-Friday / 8 am-2:30 pm

Documentation of an Intellectual or Developmental Disability.

Eligibility

Adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities.

Fees

This program may be funded by Med-Waiver though the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) or those who are not on the Med-Waiver, may call to discuss other payment options.

      Traveler's Aid

      Description

      Provides traveler's aid program. Transportation outside of Palm Beach County via bus, train, plane and food, clothing for travel in order to return someone home or to a person who can confirm they will accept the traveler and provide housing to them.

      Monday-Friday / 8 am-5 pm; nights and weekends will try to accommodate.

        Description

        Provides case management services to assist clients to achieve housing stability: payment of rent, mortgage arrears, utilities, an HOA fees. Payment for medical expenses, car repairs, home modifications and other needs that the client may have to prevent homelessness. Roommate matching, if appropriate, follow-up services 6 months after exit from services to determine housing stability and that the client did not enter the homeless system.
